Phobias

Phobias can feel overwhelming — whether it’s a fear of dogs, needles, spiders, or something more specific. But phobias aren’t signs of weakness; they’re learned responses that can be gently unlearned. I use Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy to help children, teens, and young adults understand what’s happening in their brain and body when fear takes over, and teach them how to gradually regain control.

Combining techniques from CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy), and hypnosis, we gently challenge the unhelpful thoughts and beliefs driving the fear. Hypnotherapy helps calm the nervous system and rewire the brain’s automatic responses, while CBT and REBT give practical tools to reframe anxious thinking. I use age-appropriate techniques like visualisation, exposure planning, and confidence-building to help each young person feel safe and empowered — so the thing they once feared starts to feel manageable again.
